Does NPAir work with Sonos S1 or S2?
Both. NPAir speaks the UPnP SOAP protocol layer shared by S1 (firmware v11.x) and S2 (v13+) systems directly, so it works regardless of which app generation your household is on.
Do I need a Sonos account to use it?
No. NPAir discovers speakers over local SSDP multicast and controls them with UPnP (the same local protocol the official app uses on your network) with no account or cloud sign-in involved.
Is any of my data sent anywhere?
No. Discovery, playback commands, volume changes, and queue editing all happen over your local network only. NPAir collects no personal data, accounts, or usage analytics.
Is the Pro upgrade a subscription?
No, it's a one-time $9.99 purchase tied to your Apple ID that unlocks Pro on every Mac you use it on, forever.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac on macOS 13 Ventura or later, on the same Wi-Fi network as your Sonos speakers.
